Member RecruitmentA goal of this Rotaract club is to have a diverse set of members from all backgrounds. We hold recruitment events to get students interested and to inform students of who we are and what we do.
Monthly MeetingsThese meetings are designed to keep members updated on currents events and future events affiliated with Rotaract.
Local Service ProjectsWe will have 3 local service projects per semester. This past semester, we worked with Boys & Girls Club of Lawrence The Sunrise Project, KU's Big Event, Rise Against Hunger, and The Children's Learning Center. These projects benefit individuals in the Lawrence and/or KU community.
Global Service ProjectA global service project will take place once a year and will be funded via fundraising through the club. The first global service project will take place during winter break of 2019 and is almost finalized. We will be working with SBP to rebuild homes in Puerto Rico for families who were affected by Hurricane Maria. |
Professional DevelopmentProfessional development events are events that are designed to allow students to network and plan with influential individuals in the community. |
FundraisingFundraising through Rotaract can be done in many different ways. These events are designed to provide funding for the club for the global service project trip and other costs.
Social Events
Rotaract hosts social events for its members to grow closer. These events are fun breaks for members to do things with friends in the club.
